Shennongjia Hongping Airport, a 4C-class tourist feeder airport, is located at a high altitude (2584.8 meters). The design concept of the terminal building at Shennongjia Hongping Airport originates from the idea of "erecting a wooden structure as a house". The design incorporates a triangular folded roof panel combination to simulate the appearance of mountains, breaking the monotony that might arise from a large, uniform roof. The curved roof echoes the rolling hills of the mountains, enriching the skyline.
